Why don't you show family photos with children?
Over the past several years, I have become increasingly uncomfortable with social media and online presence. I am concerned about the future of AI and how unintentionally giving away personal information about children - including their image - may impact their future. As children cannot consent to this usage, I made the decision in 2026 to completely remove images of children from my online presence.
How do I see more of your work?
I have private, password protected gallerieis that I can share with prospective clients. These galleries contain full family sessions in which the families have consented to allow me to share photos in this way. This gives me more control over who can access and see the photos.
Will you ever ask to use my photos?
I may ask to use your photos in two different ways:
1. Posting photos that DO NOT show children's faces in public settings, including my website and/or social media.
2. Including photos from your session in the private, password-protected gallery that I share with prospective clients.
Even though I may ask, I will ALWAYS respect a family's request for privacy and will not share any images without their consent. Saying "no" to these requests will not impact the services you receive.
Can I share photos of my children that you take?
Of course! While I have a policy that I will not share images that show children's faces on my business pages, you are more than welcome to share images as you feel comfortable.
How many photos do we get?
The number of photos you get is dependent on the package you choose. Mini session prices include 10 digital photos in their package price, while full sessions included 25 digital images. Additional digital images can be purchased at $20/image. I currently do not offer prints; however, can recommend several high quality printing labs that are reasonably priced and maintain the integrity of the digital images.
How do we get our photos?
Your photos will be delivered digitally through a private, password protected gallery. In this gallery, you will get to see all the photos taken during your session that meet my artistic standard and select which photos you would like included as part of your package.
Do you retouch photos?
All delivered photographs will be edited in the style displayed on my website and will include minor retouching services. More complex retouching will be outsourced for an additional charge.
Can you help us with planning?
Absolutely! My services begin once you book me, well before you ever get in front of my camera. Prior to our session, I will work with you to select locations, provide styling advice, and iron out other details to ensure that we capture photographs that are true to who you are and will be cherished for a lifetime.
What should we wear?
I have a style guide that I can share after booking; however, general advice includes:
1. Make sure everyone is confident and comfortable in their clothing,
2. Coordinate but don't match
3. Consider the season, the location, and the time of day when selecting outfits.
